I recently heard of freezer meals and what a great way it was to meal prep. Well, I have been hearing about it for a long time now but I didn't take it seriously until recently. Who wants to prepare their food in bags and freeze it? The whole idea didn't sit too well with me at first.

The more I learned about it the more I thought it was a great idea. This site that I follow, FreezerFit, really made me take notice. I read one of their articles about preparing freezer meals for two people and I enjoyed it.

It made me change my mind about freezer meals because it used to only be my husband and I and I didn't want to meal prep for just two people.

It didn't make sense to me to do meal prep for only us two. But, I was wrong.

Then, I saw the keto freezer meal class from FreezerFit and tried it, and I was hooked! As you know I'm a long-term follower of the Keto diet because it eliminated my PCOS symptoms.

The Best Freezer Meals for PCOS

The best freezer meals for PCOS are definitely keto. When I was cooking for only me and my husband I never did freezer meals. Now I've been making so many freezer meals that it's practically all I eat.

I do have a child now so it's not only meals for two anymore. When I got pregnant with the second child these meals were life savers!

I really love the keto meals from FreezerFit but I have made a lot of my own PCOS recipes into freezer meals too.

You have to know what you can freeze and what you can't. If you haven't tried freezer meal prepping I think it's better to watch a video on it and get recipes from someone else instead of trying to make your own.

Freezer Meals vs Meal Planning for PCOS

Freezer meals are essentially the ultimate meal planning. I have a PCOS diet plan on this site that I love and use. However, freezer meals are much easier. So, when I set out to make a diet plan for bulk meal prepping I use the freezer meals instead.

I've written a review of FreezerFit because it's the company I use for freezer meal recipes and I want everyone to know about them.

    Problems with Freezer Cooking

Sometimes meals can turn out mushy. Part of the great thing about using a freezer meal prep website is the recipes are always tested and are less likely to come out mushy.

Another potential problem is the upfront cost can be more expensive because you need to buy the ingredients up front to bulk prepare the meals. It saves money in the long-run but can cost a bit more to get started.

The shelf life of freezer meals is advertised as being able to to freeze them for three months. This is great but sometime the quality of the meal gets worse over time. I would aim for under two months for frozen time.

These are all the problems I can think of but they can mainly be avoided.

    Wrapping Up

Freezer meals are great for PCOS. I highly recommend it. There are some downsides but those are easily negated by joining a freezer cooking website because they help you every step of the way. What are you waiting for? Give it a try today!
